Amazingly we held NwN 11 after a 3 month layoff and resumed right where we left off. The party had no clue what to do next, but after chatting with a friendly lich named Infal we received multiple quests. Most notable of these was trying to kill the pirate Lord Scarlet, a task which ultimately resulted in the drowning or slaying of the entire party. Fortunately we regenerated in the Misty Border and returned to life, along with 3 knights who have vowed to stay with us until Scarlet is dead. Since we can never go back to kill Scarlet, that is 3 more permanent henchmen. Also a plus was the permanent drowning of Lillocent the helpless, worthless unarmored NPC. We also enjoyed the sight of Bimbark (Dan) dying every time we left the mists of Barovia; eventually we gave him a phylactery so that he would stop complaining. We eventually figured out that we needed to enter Castle Ravenloft but could not remember how to do so. After much searching we went back and killed the witch Grissella for the 3rd time and found her mirror of teleportation. Funny since Sir William already possessed one but no matter. The massive party then went on a looting spree inside the Castle punctuated by the occasional NPC interaction. We picked up yet another NPC, one of the witches, and eventually her cougar familiar as well. This brought the party size to an unreasonable 10 not counting any summoned beings.

Also of note, the NPC Ellefrin proved to be Strahd’s daughter, and confessed her love for… everyone in the party. No doubt there will be a future conflict over who gets to tap her pale, ghoulish-looking, half-undead ass. Few in the group are likely to be eager for the sharing she seems to anticipate.

Eventually the party banded together to invade the Astral Pocket of Listrue, one of the last surviving witches. A large beatdown was organized and the witch was slain to conclude the session, despite her aura of fear which disabled several party members.
